SteamID checker allows to find bans and restrictions

Game bans

Game ban in Steam defines a ban from multiplayer games that don't use VAC to detect player violations. You may get this ban in many different ways, among them cheating, offensive language, and other game-specific violations. If you are “game-banned” - you just can’t join multiplayer in this game. Singleplayer of this one as well other Steam games & VAC-secured servers are still open for you.

VAC bans

VAC(stands for Valve AntiCheat) ban on account almost always means this player was caught cheating in a VAC-secured game. Or, you may link one phone number to several steam accounts while setting-up a Steam Guard - and all accounts sharing this phone number will get VAC-banned. Anyway, this ban is permanent and non-negotiable. VAC-ban spread across other games is specific. To see which games your VAC ban affects, please launch Steam and go to Steam > Settings > Account tab > select "Click here for details" under VAC Status.

Community ban

Red string in this field means that the player violated platform forum rules in any way. Among them posting rule#34 content, using hate speech, spamming, racism etc. You can consult with Steam Community rules and guidelines using this link.

Trade ban and restrictions

Your account can be banned from trade only for such violations as scamming Steam Trade Market users. If you can’t use Steam Market despite “In Good Standing” status - then your trading ability is restricted.

First of all, if you want to participate in Steam Trade Market, you need to gain full access to Steam via spending the equivalent of 5$ in local currency on Steam goods. Then make sure your account fits these requirements:

  • Steam Guard must be enabled for >15 days.
  • Last password reset occured >5 days ago;
  • Mobile Authenticator must added for >15 days;
  • Last Email change occured >5 days ago;
  • You’ve been using device you’re logging from with your account >7 days
  • Last purchase on Steam account happened <1 year ago.
  • Account is clear of Trade, Community & VAC bans

If you can’t mark one of the requirements shortlist - your account is under trade restrictions. Please follow the official article for more details.
